I am a Romanian amateur photographer who currently lives in Great Britain. Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by lights, shadows and colours, looking for a way to capture them in a way that conveys visual sensations to viewers.
At an early age I started self-studying painting and for several years I played with colours, being attracted to abstract painting.
I guess the passion for hiking and mountaineering played an important role in my migration from painting to landscape photography.
I started my photographic journey with a Smena camera, taking photos on 35 mm film that I was then processing myself in the dark room.
Much later I could afford a Canon digital camera and I discovered the importance of telephoto lenses and post-processing in my constant pursuit of creating a certain atmosphere in my photos.
I would say that I began to produce some quality photos only around 2019 but I'm still in a continuous process of learning and transformation.
I was never preoccupied with rendering pure reality through my images, my goal being rather to make the viewer feel the drama or the warmth of that moment.
Through my photos I do not intend to make people to go and see that landscape, I rather want to provoke them a sensation, a feeling.
I believe photography is an art form, very similar to painting, and I love it because is giving me endless possibilities of creativity.
